2019 New Years Classic Recap
CORAL SPRINGS, FL – The 4th Annual New Years Classic has grown into the top High School event in the state of Florida selling out for the second straight year with over 45 teams in attendance across the two day event. With this years event changing locations from Miami Senior HS and Everglades HS to Coral Springs Park and Rec Center, all games were able to be played under one roof, with a ton of great crowds as the areas best put districts and classifications aside and battled against one another. With six of the 2108 FHSAA State Champions, two runner ups, and six final four participants in Lakeland all playing in the event, the schedule was stacked both days with a ton of great games. Taking in the games were the following colleges (Jim Jabir – Head Coach at FAU, Gabriel Lazo – Asst Coach at FIU, Tahnee Balerio – Asst Coach at University of Central Florida, Amy Wright – Asst Coach at Texas A&M, Palm Beach State, Keiser, Florida Memorial, St Thomas Univ, Central Maine CC, Central Florida College, , etc).
